Senior Congress leader and former Cabinet Minister Mahendrajeet Singh Malviya staged a massive protest at Mangarh Dham, expressing deep indignation at the Central Government's stance. He asserted that Mangarh Dham represents not just Rajasthan, but the supreme sacrifice and deep faith of the nation's entire tribal community.
Malviya alleged that the Centre's refusal to accord National Martyr Memorial status to Mangarh Dham is a direct insult to social reformer Govind Guru and the nearly 1,500 tribal martyrs who laid down their lives in 1913. He stated that this inaction deeply hurts the sentiments of the tribal population. A large gathering of Congress workers and tribal community members assembled at Mangarh Dham to escalate the demand, with Congress calling this agitation a fight for tribal identity, history, and honor.
Launching a sharp attack on the local MP from the Bharat Adivasi Party (BAP), Rajkumar Roat, Malviya criticized him for failing to raise the Mangarh Dham issue in Parliament despite representing the constituency. Malviya claimed that the BAP MP is only interested in votes and that the public has now seen through his policies, promising that voters will respond appropriately in the upcoming Panchayati Raj elections. He announced that tribal community members alongside saints and monks will organize a sit-in protest until the Central Government officially declares Mangarh Dham a National Martyr Memorial.
