Suntory Oceania Reaches Major RTD Milestone, Cementing Position as Australia’s #2 Supplier

SYDNEY / BRISBANE — Beverage giant Suntory Oceania has officially reached a major operational milestone, celebrating its first full year of operations in Australia and cementing its position as the country’s second-largest Ready-to-Drink (RTD) supplier.

Following the launch of its multi-beverage partnership and the opening of its $400 million manufacturing facility in Swanbank, Queensland, the company has experienced rapid expansion across both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage markets.

Key Operational Highlights

  • Massive Production Volume: Over 252 million cans and bottles were produced locally in Australia within the last 12 months, marking a 36% increase in production output.

  • Rapid Innovation: The group launched 21 new products across its RTD, energy drink, and coffee portfolios.

  • Local Supply Chain: 100% of the company's alcohol RTD range (including flagship brands like Suntory -196, Jim Beam & Cola, and Canadian Club & Dry) is now crafted locally at its Queensland site.

  • Sustainability Milestones: Despite significant growth, the group reduced its Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse emissions, leveraging its carbon-neutral-capable facility powered by renewable energy.
