CJP Founder Abhijit Dipke Responds to RTI Over Education Loan, Demands Transparency on PM Modi's Educational Degrees

NEW DELHI — Abhijit Dipke, the founder of Citizens for Justice and Peace (CJP), has publicly addressed the controversy surrounding his higher education funding following a recently filed Right to Information (RTI) query regarding his overseas education loan.

Responding to questions raised about how his studies abroad were financed, Dipke declared that he has "nothing to hide" and expressed complete willingness to make all relevant documents—including his scholarships, financial aid, and bank loan disclosures—publicly available.

However, the CJP founder attached a condition to his offer, calling for equal political accountability. Dipke stated that if public figures demand financial and educational transparency from citizens and activists, the same standards must apply to elected officials. He challenged Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other senior leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to publicly disclose their official educational degrees and academic records.

"Transparency cannot be a one-way street," Dipke asserted, emphasizing that public representatives should lead by example when it comes to open verification of credentials and credentials-related documentation.

The move has reignited the ongoing political discourse surrounding political qualifications and public disclosures in India, with supporters praising Dipke's call for uniform transparency standards, while critics view the condition as an attempt to divert attention from the initial query.
