Viral: Nagaland Man Spends 67,734 to Send 150 Pizzas to NEET Protestors at Jantar Mantar
New Delhi: In a heart-warming show of solidarity, a man from Nagaland has captured the internet's attention after ordering 150 pizzas for students protesting against the NEET exam discrepancies at New Delhi’s Jantar Mantar.
The young man—a poet based in Nagaland—spent 67,734 out of his own pocket to order 150 'Farmhouse Cheese Burst' pizzas via an online delivery app to ensure the protesting students didn't go hungry.
"Distribute to any hungry student"
The total bill amounted to ₹64,650, reaching ₹67,734 after taxes and packaging fees. While placing the massive order, he left a special note for the delivery driver:
"Please distribute these among all the students who are hungry at Jantar Mantar."
"How can I eat comfortably when my brothers and sisters are on the street?"
Sharing the invoice screenshot on social media, he clarified that his intention wasn't to gain clout, but to inspire others to support the youth in any way possible.
"When my fellow students and youth are fighting for their dreams, facing uncertainty and stress on the streets, I cannot comfortably sit at home and eat. This is just a small gesture to remind them that they are not alone. Your fight and your dreams matter."
A Wave of 'Digital Solidarity'
This unique gesture is part of a growing trend at the protest site. Over the past few days, supporters from across India—including cities like Mumbai and Patna—and even NRIs from the US have been using apps like Zomato, Swiggy, and Blinkit to send tea, samosas, burgers, and snacks directly to Jantar Mantar. Delivery agents report making up to 15–20 trips a day to deliver food sent by well-wishers nationwide.
