NEW DELHI — In an inspiring display of resilience and filial devotion, a young doctor sat for the high-stakes NEET PG examination under devastating circumstances, taking the test while her parents were missing in the flood-ravaged terrain of Nepal.
An Exam Surrounded by Heartbreak On August 30, while 68 pilgrims—including her parents—found themselves trapped in severe flooding during the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, Tanvi faced the biggest examination of her medical career. Battling overwhelming anxiety and emotional distress, she chose not to walk away from the exam center.
Perseverance Amidst Tears Reflecting on the painful experience in a poignant social media post, Tanvi shared that she spent nearly half of the three-hour examination in tears.
"Out of the three-hour exam, one and a half hours, I spent crying. I just knew that my dad wants me to give this exam and I have to do it for him, I have to do it for my parents. More than the exam, the most difficult part was that before the exam, my mom would always give me curd and sugar. They have to come."
